To me, the term “celestial bodies” is about the importance of everyone who’s ever had a part in getting me to the place I am right now: friends, family, teachers, peers, strangers I pass on the street, people who hold the door for me, train conductors, and especially: music. On their first date, my parents went dancing at The Palladium on the south side of East 14th street, between 3rd Avenue and Irving Place. It closed in 1997, but I grew to love the music that played that night. I would not be here without music. My show “celestial bodies” is about the music that saved my life and how much I love it.
